I do love a magpie, but what's not to like about those mischievous bandits?
Pioghaid in Scot's Gaelic which also translates as "talkative girl."
Much maligned but pre-christianity these highly intelligent adaptable birds were worshipped by indigenous cultures and revered as symbols of good luck and wisdom.
