It is said The Mórrígan make herself known when needed most.

She dons her war paint and visits in various guises, subliminal almost. I wake from sleep and remember her features. The ravens that reside in the Pines behind my house, inch ever closer. She is there in the familiar faces of my Witch Sisters Tarot.

As a Corvid Goddess, she symbolises war and death, a connection borne from the bird’s presence on the battlefield. They were seen as omens or the goddess herself in black bird form.

However, look beyond and we see Mórrígan also represents the cyclical nature of life, and the transformation that comes with endings and beginnings.

I may be battle weary but she reminds me there’s iron in my blood. That I wasn’t born into this world bloodied and screaming, to never bare my teeth.

The Mórrígan was borne of sun and the black ash of my land. She signifies the dark and light of us; the Triple Goddess.
